Happy 4th of JulyThe nation's founders risked ruin, war and death to develop this country and our government system. I am reminded of that each Fourth of July when we celebrate our Declaration of Independence from England. Thomas Jefferson and others wrote that the day of the signing must be celebrated throughout the entirety of the Republic.

With that in mind, I was proud to support Assembly Concurrent Resolution 107, which calls on Californians to study our nation's history during the Fourth of July holiday and expresses gratitude to those who serve and have served in our Armed Forces.
