Assemblymember Salas Issues Statement in Response to DMV Audit
SACRAMENTO – Today, Assemblymember Rudy Salas (D-Bakersfield) issued the following statement in response to the audit conducted by Department of Finance (DOF) of the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV):
“The significant problems and ongoing deficiencies at the DMV are appalling and unacceptable. The public deserves far better. As Chairman of the Joint Legislative Audit Committee I am currently leading a bi-partisan audit that will improve DMV to make it more efficient, responsive and accountable. Action must be taken to correct the poor planning and deficiencies at DMV and I look forward to working with the Governor and his DMV Strike Team to make real changes at the DMV.”
