Assemblymember Salas Cracks Down on Internet Gambling Cafes

(Sacramento) - Internet cafes have sprouted up across California, taking advantage of a loophole in state law in order to promote illegal gambling. The cafes have become breeding grounds for criminal activity. California State Assemblymember Rudy Salas (D-Bakersfield) has introduced Assembly Bill 1429, which would ensure that internet cafes can no longer propagate gambling by closing the loophole in the law that allows them to mimic casinos.
