Tuesday, June 26, 2018

(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Rudy Salas (D-Bakersfield) continued fighting for families suffering from Valley Fever by pushing his package of bills to assist Valley Fever victims and their families in the Senate Health Committee. Assembly Bill1790, the Valley Fever Education, Early Diagnosis, and Treatment Act, is the cornerstone of his efforts. “The record number of cases that we see occurring with Valley Fever means that more and more families are being affected by this disease,” he told the Health Committee. “AB 1790 creates and provides protocols and procedures for healthcare providers to educate them about accurate diagnosis and treatment of Valley Fever.” The other bills in the package are AB 1787 and AB 1877 to streamline and standardize the reporting process.
