Assemblymember Salas Saves Ag Education Funding

Assemblymember Rudy Salas (D-Bakersfield) rallied thousands of Future Farmers of America (FFA) students and their supporters in Sacramento and spent countless hours over the last six months pushing to save the Agriculture Education Incentive Grant Program. And it worked! When Governor Brown signed the new budget at the end of June, it included the Ag Ed funding Assemblymember Salas and so many others had been fighting for since the Governor proposed cutting off the Ag Ed funding back in January. “Agriculture Education Programs - like FFA - grow more than crops, they grow Californians who lead and feed the nations,” said Assemblymember Salas.
